Plymouth

Today we took a day trip to Plymouth - the place the pilgrims first set foot on when they came to America.

"Plymouth Rock" - The rock that the pilgrims stepped onto back in 1620. A guide of sorts, who was standing there, told us that the rock had originally been bigger. Due to the fact that it had been moved to different locations and dropped out of trucks in the process. (Not to mention that tourists used to be allowed to chisel a piece of it off to take home as a souvenir.)

Plymouth harbour

The Church of the Pilgrimage - the man you can see in the doorway gave us a tour of he church, which turned out to be more of a one-hour history lesson of Plymouth and the pilgrims

We did get to see the actual church though, and it was really nice. I loved the baby blue walls with the gold and white details

Then, we went to the harbour to go on a cruise on the "Plymouth Belle"

After seeing the town, we went to a beach for a dip/snooze on the beach
